Photographer Tonje Kornelie was born and raised in the rural Skjeberg in southern Norway. She was educated at Norsk Fotofagskole in Trondheim and has taken part in workshops and lectures with photographers like:
Morten Krogvold, Gregory Crewdson, Bingo Rimér, Morten Qvale, Lasse Berre, Martin Parr, Jørn Tomter, Urs Recher, Bjorn Opsahl og Marcel Lelienhof.
Tonje Kornelie thinks that photographs should tell a story or convey a mood, and tries to bring this out in her work.
